A series of earthquakes on the border of China

An earthquake of magnitude 5.1 occurred at night in Kyrgyzstan. The depth of the hearth was 35 km . This was reported by the Institute of Seismology of Kyrgyzstan.

The tremors began on February 27 at 3:42 a.m. (0:42 Moscow time). The epicenter was located on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China, in the Kokshaltau mountains. In the settlements of the country, the intensity of the earthquake was 3.5–4 points, residents felt tremors.

The earthquake was also registered by seismic stations of LLP “SOME” of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan. Weak tremors were felt in Alma-Ata.

At 5:58 (2:58 Moscow time), another earthquake occurred on the border of Kyrgyzstan with China with a magnitude of 5.6. The hearth also lay at a depth of 35 km.

On February 6, an earthquake of magnitude 5.4 occurred about 600 km west of Alma-Ata, the hearth lay at a depth of 5 km. Tremors were felt in Shymkent and the village of Temirlan.
