Replacing radiators

Very often, during a major overhaul, the question arises of replacing old radiators with more modern ones. It is advisable to do this after the end of the heating season. Sometimes cheap laminate deteriorates due to leaking radiators, then you should buy Minsk laminate, which is distinguished by its quality.

Construction markets and shops are literally inundated with such goods. And its large assortment makes the choice very difficult. Therefore, before you go shopping, you need to study in detail the information about the whole variety of radiators.

For a city apartment, special radiators are needed that meet all the requirements of the heating. You can find out everything you need at the local housing office: the type of heating system, the diameter of the pipes, the operating pressure of the heating system, the type of coolant. If the purchased heater does not meet these indicators, this can lead to emergency situations.

Particular attention, when choosing a radiator, should be paid to the operating pressure, which will ensure the perfect operation of the device. The higher these figures, the more reliable the work.

Often in multi-storey buildings, the principle of a single-pipe heating system is used. In this case, radiators with hydraulic resistance are suitable, as well as capable of withstanding high operating pressure.

The size of the radiators is calculated in such a way that the distance between the floor and the radiator is at least 6 centimeters, and from the window sill to the radiator – 10 centimeters.

The choice of a radiator is greatly influenced by its power. By multiplying the area of the room by 10 watts, you can get the radiator power required for the room.

There are different types of radiators on the construction market.

Cast iron radiators are several sections. Modern radiators made from this material have a rather attractive appearance and can perfectly fit into any interior of the room.

Aluminum radiators, compared to cast iron, are very light and have a high degree of heat transfer. The more sections such a radiator has, the more power it has.

Bimetal radiators are able to withstand high pressure loads and also have high heat dissipation. The strength of such a radiator is provided by a steel conductive channel in aluminum fins.

Steel radiators are known for a large selection of sizes and shapes, high thermal conductivity. The only downside is corrosion resistance.
